    Description

Offered for your consideration is a Black celluloid #5 fountain pen. It has a PURPLE disc in the end of the barrel as shown.
Please note the clip is somewhat loose but can function as is. A tightening may be necessary in time. Last image shows how far right I can sway the clip.
Waterman, in the 1920s and 1930s, offered a variety of nibs that were color-coded. The pens initially were Red Ripple and later, in the 1030s iteration of the 5 and 7 series, the pens were black celluloid. The Ripple pens had a colored ring at the top of the cap which matched the color inscribed on the nib itself. The Black celluloid model had a colored plastic disc in the butt end of the pen to match the color on the nib.

The styling is typical of a 1930s Waterman fountain pen with Deco styling, Keyhole nib and stepped ends.
This pen measures a tad over 5”.
The cosmetics of the pen is a conservative 8/10 with no cracks, chips or other serious damage. There is minimal wear to the edges of the gold filled trim.
The barrel imprint is very clear.
The pen has a new sac and is taking in and releasing water but has not been tested further. It may need further tweaking by you or your pen repair professional.
    No Long Boilerplate but...
