    Description

This listing is for a Rosette chrome Art Deco cigarette lighter commemorating the USS Richard B Anderson  DD 786, a US Navy destroyer that served from 1945 to 1975, from WWII through Viet Nam.   Rosette appears to be a Japanese copy of the Zippo brand. I believe the emblem on the front of the lighter is for the Neptune hazing ceremonies that sailor underwent when crossing the equator for the first time.  This lighter is in excellent like new condition.  The wick is new and unused, and the lighter appears to be new and unused.  The flint sparks well, but there is no fuel.  There should be no problem making the lighter work.  The chrome case shows no wear.   I have other lighters listed in my store.   All of my items were found in estate sales and cleanouts on Cape Cod last summer.  None of the items have been touched by the public since then, just stored in totes.  Anything purchased in the last two months has been thoroughly washed.  I am in a low risk area this winter and I am observing all precautions for virus protection.
I use Standard Mail, First Class Mail, and Media Mail whenever possible to save you money on shipping, and I will combine items in the same box to save you money on shipping. I use foam peanuts and bubble wrap when necessary, and I use recycled products most of the time, including sturdy used cardboard boxes when I can find them.  This package will be shipped by First Class Mail.   I sell quite a bit on eBay and I get a discount for Priority Mail, especially on smaller parcels and packages going to the NE quarter of the country, so don't be surprised if it comes Priority - the discount usually makes the price the same as Standard Mail.  That way it's insured and faster, too.
