VINTAGE EARLY 1900s POPPERS ACE CIGAR TOBACCO TIN STORE DISPLAY CAN w AIRPLANE

Description

This is a vintage tobacco / cigar countertop store display can, made of tin. Three of the sides picture an early 1900's biplane / airplane. It reads: "POPPER'S ACE...A Better Smoke - ALWAYS FRESH...MADE BY E. POPPER & CO. NEW YORK...POPPER ACE KINGS 10 Cents." In small print, the back is marked: "MADE BY FELDHUHN DISPLAY CASE CO., Inc. NEW YORK." The base measures 5 & 3/4 inches by 6 & 3/4 inches. The case is 6 & 3/4 inches tall at the front. At the back, it measures 7 & 3/4 inches tall - or 9 inches tall, if you include the top sign. The top is hinged and opens easily. The condition is probably in the FAIR range. (Please read the entire description, see the pictures, and make your OWN grade.) THE TOP GLASS IS BROKEN. It should be easy to replace. (You'll need to bend the front edge of the top slot forward, insert the glass, the press edge back in place.) The exterior has scattered scuffs, paint rubs, scratches, soiling and a little rust. The top flange (where is says, "POPPER'S ACE 10 Cents") is VERY FADED. There are couple of spots of green paint on the front. The graphics on one side are still pretty clean, but near the base on this side, it has a thin strip of black paint. (See close-up with pencil point.) If you replace the glass, it will look pretty good, but there will still be some condition issues. This can is guaranteed to be old & original, or your money back.
