    From 1969-1971, Jerome Rooney made spinning wheels for display until he realized that people were wanting functioning ones. He visited the Museum of American Textile History where he saw many different models. The Saxony flax wheel was the one that caught his eye so he went back and created the Country Craftsman. It is a beautiful, smooth and responsive wheel.
