    Description

    Available to you is one of the first OBE (Order Of The British Empire) medals issued. This version was awarded from 1917-1922. During that period there were only 2014 recipients, 800 of which were non British citizens. This medal is in its original fitted box. There is some water damage to the exterior of the box. The purple civilian award ribbon has some fading, however the silver medal only needs to be polished if you so desire. Please see pics for further details.
